Milford Haven Quaker's Sunday morning Meeting

Venue: The Friends Meeting House, Priory Road, Milford Haven, SA73 2DS

Join us on Sunday mornings at 11.00 for our time of gathered silence, stillness and reflection. Everyone is welcome. Just turn up. Our Meetings are there for everyone, whatever your beliefs or past experience; what you bring will be of value and is a unique gift – we are all seekers after truth.

The Meeting House will be open from about 10.30 to welcome all who come.

Our time of gathered silence in the Main Meeting Room begins at 11.00. It is usually followed by Notices and a time for Afterthoughts, when anything that came to you in the silence but did not turn into Ministry can be spoken about. Meeting for Worship for Business

Venue: Friends Meeting House

This is our monthly business meeting which is open to all Members and Attenders. The Quaker Business Method is inspiring and a special contribution which Quakers have made to the world.

Sometimes there are only minutes of record, in which case the Clerk will read these out during notices. Where there items for discernment ( i.e. they need a decision to be made or a collective opinion to be reached) we will hold a Meeting for Worship for Business within an envelope of silent worship. We are not seeking a majority opinion or even an acceptable consensus but rather the direction in which we are being spiritually guided as a Meeting.

Milford Haven is an inclusive and caring Meeting and we want to ensure that everyone who wants to speak is heard. With this in mind, it is good practice to leave a gap between one person's contribution and another to absorb each contribution fully; and also to uphold the Clerk in silence whilst she is writing a minute.
